THIS SATURDAY

Bad news, unfortunately Goth-Trad cant play (immigration issues). Good news is i'm still playin' :) and our album drops same day so expect a fun night (i'll be posting details of a listening party Saturday afternoon in the City real soon)...anyway, here's Baddums spiel on the night...

Due to unfortunate circumstances we must announce that the Goth-Trad(Japan) tour of Australia has been cancelled.

The good news is that HEAVY INNIT!! will still go off this Saturday at Miss Libertine.

With an all-star line-up of local DJs including Fooishbar(Too Much), Buick(Too Terrorble Tablists – Canberra), L-J(Sub FM), Camo-Tree(Bass High) ft. Fraksha(Nine-High), A13 and Riz-One(Low Def), we still promise you seven hours of heavy dubstep and glitch-hop damage at one of Melbourne’s most popluar city clubs.

As cancellations like this are costly, you may appreciate that we need your support to ensure that our monthly event continues. We’ve reduced the door tax to $10 but as a special offer to our loyal regulars we’d like to invite you to email us at heavyinnit@gmail.com to join our $8 VIP list.

Here’s a peek at the playing times:
9-10 Fooishbar
10-11 Buick(Canberra)
11-12 L-J(Sub FM)
12-1 Camo ft. Fraksha
1-2:30 A13
2:30-4 Riz-One

So the party goes on. We hope to see you there!

And then next month we will have this below featuring our boy Loco from back in the UK who will be here for a month to do shows with us in support of the album.

INTRODUCING SMASHBROS

If you've been to a grime or dubstep event in Melbourne over the past couple of years you would have seen all of the above reprobates for sure. Smashbro's are a new collective comprising myself Fraksha (nine high), Scotty hinds (nine high), Diem (Hired Goons / Hospice Crew) + Murky Depths (ex-Ming Mers) who have come together 'cos we're pretty much the only mc's doing this type of thing in this country that we've heard...and we also happen to sink a lot of drinks + what else together anyway. You're sure to see us around as a group a bit more often, but in the meantime here's a quick radio thing from last Friday night on triple R with Camo on decks http://www.divshare.com/download/7218554-72a
and if you're about this coming Saturday then catch us at Heavy Innit at Roxanne's in China Town

I'll be playing at it again this month as part of a new grime crew called SuperSmashBrothers. This consists of myself and Scotty from Nine High and then Murky Depths (you might know him as Ming Mers of Hospice Crew fame) and Diem (Rhys from Hired Goons / Hospice) and apart from a quick thing at the Bushfire benefit last month, this will be our debut appearance as a group. As far as i'm aware there aint any other grime crews in the whole country either and if there is i'm pretty confident they aint nothing! Quote me if you wish :) anyway, come down and check it out, its gonna be a good night.

CAMMO

Q) So what been happening in Cammo's world?

spending too much money on my bimma, skateboarding, bit of graf and laying lo in winter.

Q) You've been a big part of the burgeoning Melbourne dubstep scene, how's that been?

been good, plugging since 05 and since then weve had shit loads of international guest, local heads getting released on wax. n two new labels in sydney. scene is young but pushing hard, bout to blow any minute now

Q) You're also one of the very very few playing grime over here as well. Grime hasnt really caught on like the dubstep has, why do you think this is?

guess its a hip hop thing which took a while to blow up in oz, grime is too aggressive for this laid back town it will take a while to catch on. dubstep is safe n grabs you by its bass frequencies. grime has the bass and the lyrics. and its confrontation to most. i love it. and im getting heads into it

Q) What are your favourite things about Melbourne?

its diverse culture, weed and music

Q) So where can people catch you playing?

sydney void gig 4th july for a oz dubstep show case at phoenix, fridays at croft, sundays at the laundry and a new monthly uk hip hop/gime night with mexi at worshop starting 2nd august i think and any other gigs i can scram around town

Q) Finally, any shouts?

7EM, FLIES n yeah not fraksha (jokes)
